I have some limitations when it comes to camping because of my Psoriatic Arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.  And I don’t really like to car camp in camp grounds.  Dispersed camping and Overlanding are much more in line with what I like to do.  I also have a limit because I’m well outside the normal range of people that outdoor gear is designed for.  I’m almost 6’2″ (186 cm for those that haven’t been to the moon) and vary around 280lbs (127kg) depending on my health.

The article is not so much a list of items specifically on how to do a particular thing.  This is more of a list of gear that I ether want to add or do have and suggest.  

Matfer Bourgeat Black Carbon Steel Crepe Pan, 7"

Carbon Steel has a learning curve on how to use it and take care of it.  But if you want a pan that will last multiple lifetimes and be about as resilient as Cast Iron while not being as heavy it is a great option.

Small Stainless Steel plates that are square for easy packing.  Have enough of a lip to keep things from sliding and have enough of a lip that you can grab them with the gloves that you should be having on you at all times.

These Stanley cooksets are great.  Sure you’re going to end up ditching the cups and you’ll want to remove the plastic ‘handle’ from the lid and put a key ring or something else in it’s place.  But overall for under $20 you get a good solid stainless cook cup.
